Personal Statement

I am an Electronic Engineer with M.Sc. and Ph.D studies in Power Systems. My knowledge of embedded systems and power electronics is complemented with a solid understanding of the AC Power Systems dynamics. This knowledge has enabled me to develop power electronic control solutions for AC systems including: Wind turbine control, 3-phase inverters control, motor/generator control, VSC-HVDC systems control and active power filters.

My current research is focused in refining and experimentally implementing a control strategy for offshore wind farms that complies with grid code requirements and provides ancillary services to the power grid.
