Teaching Assistant

Personal Statement

I am an appointed Teaching Assistant and also studying for my PhD in Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Strathclyde. My collaborative research has focused on investigating the most robust experimental designs and statistical frameworks (such as Bootstrapping and Bayesian) to aid animal health experts with investigating anthelmintic efficacy/resistance in livestock herds. I graduated in 2014 with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Statistics from Strathclyde and I have also received GradStat status from the Royal Statistical Society. I am also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Ambassador, with interests in developing mathematical and statistical outreach activities, as well as delivering them, to engage young people with the subjects of Mathematics and Statistics.
