Personal Statement

My principle interest lies in the field of human-machine interaction, biomechanics, gait analysis and rehabilitation. During my PhD, I utilised an approach integrating neuroscience and robotics to investigate human motor control principles during stepping and design assistive devices for gait rehabilitation. The concept is to use current robotics to create novel bioengineering techniques from complicated neuromuscular mechanism. Currently, I'm involved in an EPSRC project titled "Wearable soft robotics for independent living". I take the responsibility to build a kinematic model for gait assessment and demonstrate the devices.
