Personal Statement

I am a Strathclyde Chancellor’s Fellow and Lecturer in eHealth / Health Informatics in the Digital Health & Wellness Systems Group at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS).

My research interests include:

- sociotechnical research on integrated care pathways & information management processes in perioperative medicine / elective surgery (Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates Fellowship PDF/09/09 – 2010-2013)

- the implementation and evaluation of large scale eHealth systems and initiatives, such as the Innovate UK Delivering Assisted Living Lifestyles at Scale programme ( dallas programme evaluation co-investigator with Prof. Frances Mair, University of Glasgow and Dr. Marilyn Lennon, University of Strathclyde, 2012-2015)

- knowledge engineering technologies for medical information management and decision support at the point of care (Knowledge Transfer partnership with Prof. Alan Rector at the Bio-Informatics group, University of Manchester, 2007-2010).
