Personal Statement

Nicola joined Strathclyde in October 2017 having previously worked as a consultant clinical psychologist in the NHS. She completed the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psy) at the University of Edinburgh (2004-2007). Prior to this she completed a PhD at the University of Glasgow (1999-2002).Her research interests are in the areas of developing interventions for building resilience and coping strategies in 'at risk' populations. She has a strong interest in the important role of social contextual factors that impact on health and wellbeing.
