DATA DESCRIPTION
================
Data stored here are human-readable. They are compatible with gnuplot.
Where there are multi-dimensional data, the last index/column varies most rapidly.
All data files contain a header (commented using #) which explains the data
layout.
Files with the .dst file extension are the particle distribution f(\phi,p).
Each snapshot during the \phi evolution is commented with an ID and average
properties. Snaphots are separated by a blank line. Files with the .stats
extension contain statistics of the electron bunch.

These files contain numerical data obtained from the analytical solution
of the Vlasov equation with Landau-Lifshitz radiation reaction. Two pulse
lengths N = 5 and N = 20 (with a_0 corresponding to N a_0^2 = 9248) are
considered.

Verification of the numerical sampling and distribution reconstruction method.
A simple zero-mean, unit-variance Gaussian distribution has been sampled and
reconstructed using a new iterative sampling method (with 401 particles) as well
as randomly sampled using 401 and 100,000 points. The iteratively sampled initial
distribution has a relative momentum spread (standard error) which is sensitive
to the number of particles used to represent the distribution. Data is contained
in InitialRelativeMomentumSpread.dat for a range of particle numbers.
