Readme file - dataset for the abstract ‘Laser-excited 580nm AlGaInP nanomembrane for visible light communications’ Some fo the data is used in the Figs. 2 and 3 of the aforementioned Light, Energy and the Environment Congress abstract; the remainder is not used in figures, but is the base data from where results presented in the abstract are deducted. The files of the dataset are csv files and what they represent is detailed below. The name of the file relates to the Figure of the abstract where some of the data is plotted (on the cases tha tis plotted). • Fig.2 - Colour_converted_vs_pumped_optical_power.csv: Yellow optical power as a function of blue optical power. The data includes columns representing the LED optical power (mili-watts) and the colour converted power (micro-watts) for the superlattice and the asymmetric samples. • Fig.2 - Spectra.csv: Spectral emission of the two designs. The data includes columns representing the wavelength (nm) and the respective intensity (arbitrary units), under LED excitation. The spectra are normalised to the value of 1. • Fig.3 - Data_rates.csv: Results of data transfer in free space. Columns represent the data rate (Mb/s) and the associated bit-error rate (BER) for OFDM modulation scheme for the superlattice and asymmetric design. • Lifetimes.csv: Columns represents the time (ns) and the intensity (counts) of the luminescent decay of the superlattice and asymmetric designs.
