In this folder one can find the key files used to achieve datas related to the paper "QED cascade saturation and electron-positron jet formation from a laser-irradiated thin foil".
Two-dimensional simulations have been performed with the EPOCH code (version 4.2.11), which can be freely downloaded from here: https://cfsa-pmw.warwick.ac.uk/users/sign_in.
The input.deck and Makefile used in the simulations described in the paper are reported. This input deck, using the laser intensity of 4e23 W/cm^2, is taken to obtain one point in Figs. 1-3 in the paper.
By varying laser intensity to 12e23 W/cm^2, one can find another point of Fig. 2 and Fig. 3. Furthermore, the values of density and intensity simulated in order to find all points of Fig. 1 are listed below.
