Multiple controlled self-injection of short-duration electron bunches in the laser wakefield accelerator

Data were generated using the open source particle-in-cell (PIC) code FBPIC: https://github.com/fbpic/fbpic
The following input files are provided:
- fbpic_no_inj.py
  A simulation using laser parameters for which spontaneous electron self-injection does not occur
- fbpic_inj_single.py
  A simulation with a single cosine-squared density modulation to stimulate the controlled self-injection of
  a single electron bunch
- fbpic_inj_300um.py
  A simulation using multiple cosine-squared density modulations to stimulate repeated self-injection in the
  LWFA

In addition, we include the non-standard custom-defined flat-top "pump" laser pulse profile:
- pump_laser.py

Once FBPIC has been installed, the data can be reproduced using the above input files.
